Thank you, Lockport, for helping kick off the future of Greater Downtown!

The first community workshop for the Lockport Greater Downtown Plan was held on September 25, 2025, at The ROXY Lockport. We were thrilled to welcome more than 60 community members who joined the open house to share their ideas, priorities, and vision for the future of Greater Downtown. Residents of all ages contributed thoughtful input on how to strengthen and enhance the heart of Lockport.

What’s Next?
The planning team is now reviewing and organizing all of the ideas and feedback collected during the workshop. Your input will shape the goals and recommendations for improving strengthening and enhancing the Greater Downtown study area.

This workshop was just the beginning! Community engagement will continue throughout the planning process. As we listen and learn from the community, we’ll also conduct technical analyses of existing land use, transportation, and development conditions to inform the plan’s direction. The Existing Conditions Report will be shared online and at future public workshops for your review and feedback. Following that report, the team will begin drafting goals and recommendations for Greater Downtown.

The Greater Downtown Lockport project team invites you to an Open House at ROXY Lockport, located at 1017 South State Street on Thursday, September 25th from 7pm to 8:30pm.

This drop-in community event is an opportunity to share your ideas and vision for Greater Downtown Lockport. Community input will help guide planning efforts related to land use, economic development, transportation, and recreation.
